Kanuha Hawaiian Surfboards  brings the past of old Hawaii to the present and the future, utilizing all native traditional woods and designs of the highest quality only found in Hawaii. Kanuha Hawaiian Surfboards was founded by professional surfer/waterman C.J. Kanuha. His Hawaiian lineage can be traced back to the very first Hawaiians who arrived in the islands in 600 A.D. His love for surfing started at a very young age when his father (one of Hawaii's top waterman) first took him out into the ocean. It has never stopped since. CJ has been featured in every surf publication around the world, major videos and news articles. He started shaping wooden boards when he was 12 and started to learn the traditions of old throughout the years. He credits his love for shaping traditional Hawaiian surfboards to his late father Clement Keliipoaimoku Kanuha Jr and his uncle Tom "Pohaku" Stone, another Hawaiian waterman whom revived huloa sledding and papa he’enalu. CJ's boards have been highly sought after by private clients, hotels, businesses, art galleries, and have been featured in numerous magazine articles.  The Kanuha Family always gives back to community, and have donated boards to various charities around the world.  Kanuha Hawaiian surfoards look forward to making you a once in a lifetime custom true piece of Hawaiian art & surfing culture!
